Seeking a way to create connection in our community, we worked with neighbors to design a bench that could be easily and economically built and installed. The bench is a place to meet and converse, to sit and contemplate. It provides a locus for activities or simply gathering.
We thought it would be great to come up with this simple to build design and have kits for folks to buy cheaply, so that they could work together to build the bench and then have it on their street.
