As part of my Creative Grant 2026 from the Illinois Arts Council, I am working with a foundry in Oregon Illinois to have my clay sculptures made into bronze sculptures.
The will create molds based on the clay maquettes. I plan to incorporate some of the bronzes into wood bases.

This is the team from Art Casting with me and the clay maquettes.
Thanks to the Illinois Arts Council for funding this art exploration. The pieces are related to my artistic investigation into Abraham Lincoln. They are wedges. Frederick Douglass said of Lincoln that he used the narrow end of the wedge first and then applied the wider end to get at his aims.
