Working on Prague rather than in Prague. Too bad. I am working on a series of images that I took in Prague in the early 1990’s, when I lived there for a brief time.
These images remind me of the materiality of the buildings at the time. Images are photos of print photos and the prints are pretty grainy and a bit grimy, as Prague was back then.
I started printmaking there. It was different though. In Prague I worked with a master printer, Tomas Svoboda, in his studio, as an artist, drawing on a litho stone. Tomas did all of the printing.
